REKD Protection
Product Description
REKD Energy Impact Shorts - Black, Small Size (Fits 28" - 32" / 71cm - 81cm Waist Circumference)
Shield your lower body against harsh impacts, heavy spills, and deep bone bruising with the REKD Energy Impact Shorts. Also widely known across the park and trail communities as crash pants, these premium protective undershorts are purpose-built for high-load, multi-sport use. Whether you are navigating technical singletrack, drop-knee carving on snow, or launching out of concrete bowls on a skateboard or scooter, these shorts deliver critical mechanical defense without bulk. Designed to layer seamlessly beneath your regular riding pants or shorts, they provide low-profile armor that ensures you stay agile, focused, and fully protected.
The standout structural advancement of these impact shorts is the integration of the **removable REKD Energy coccyx bone protector**. This intelligent, non-restrictive triangular insert is anatomically sculpted to shield the highly vulnerable tailbone region from vertical ground strikes, absorbing and dissipating harsh focal forces before they transfer to your spine. Because the technical impact insert is entirely removable, riders can easily customize their level of armor based on the discipline or terrain of the day. The rest of the chassis is deployed with an array of targeted, ultra-low-profile padding zones that safeguard the **glutes, outside thighs, and outside hamstrings** from severe bruising and gravel rash.
Constructed as a premium **one-piece Lycra short**, the garment is engineered to deliver a true second-skin fit. By utilizing a continuous, high-stretch technical textile construction, REKD eliminates the traditional interior seams and panels that cause painful skin pinching or fabric bunching beneath hard plastic guards or heavy denim. To guarantee the shorts stay perfectly locked in position through deep cornering and compressed g-outs, they feature an ultra-comfortable **REKD Energy elasticated waistband**, an adjustable hook-and-loop waist opening for swift micro-adjustments, and specialized elasticated leg bands that reliably stop the pads from riding up or shifting mid-session.
Sold as a standalone protective short in a professional matte black colorway, this durable piece of equipment is finished with high-contrast printed REKD leg branding and premium REKD Energy logo detailing. Built to withstand continuous punishment, the technical nylon and polyester blend construction is **machine washable**, allowing you to keep your gear factory-fresh after long, dusty trail runs or intense park sessions. Refer to the comprehensive sizing metrics below to confirm your perfect, slip-free waist fitment.
