NECK BRACES
Neck braces from Leatt and Atlas, the two names that matter in neck protection. Leatt's range runs from the 3.5 (and 3.5 Junior for kids) through the 4.5 and 5.5 to the 6.5 Carbon, and Atlas brings the Air and Defender for riders who prefer its lower-profile design. Because a brace lives a hard life, replacement thoracic packs, strap kits, hinge packs and emergency bolts for every Leatt model are listed here too.
Fit matters: a brace should sit on your shoulders without lifting when you look up, and it needs to work with your helmet and chest protector, which is where the adjustable thoracic and wedge packs come in. Youth riders should look at the 3.5 Junior. Complete the set with body armour and knee braces, or see the full Leatt range. Free NZ shipping on orders over $149.
